Touch sensitive keypads in the conductive silver technology
The conductive silver technology is always used where economical aspects are in the foreground for small and medium quantities. Our touch sensitive keypads are entirely produced according to the screen printing method allowing any individual design to be realised without a problem. Touch sensitive keypads in conductive silver technology permit the integration of components, however, it is more complex than with other keypad types. The keypad is usually connected to a PCB by means of a flexible membrane cable or using socket clinchers/plugs.

Touch sensitive keypads on FR 4 (gold plated)
This high-quality membrane type is almost predestined for a comprehensive integration of modules in input units. Due to the gold plated contact surfaces, a very good contact quality is achieved. Sealing to the enclosure is absolutely reliable. Protection classes of IP 65 and better can be easily reached with this type of keypad. Keypad connection to the customer's electronic system can be optionally made using a ribbon cable or direct contacts (pin - socket). The front membranes of the FR 4 touch sensitive keypads can be produced with all printing techniques, e.g. screen or digital printing, thereby ensuring a high degree of design freedom.

    Short stroke keypads
Short stroke keypads are predominantly used in industries placing very high requirements on the input units, e.g. in machine and production line construction and for military purpose. A big advantage of the short stroke keypad is the very good tactile key feedback, even when operating the keys while wearing gloves or when the input unit is soiled. Also with this type of keypad, modules can be integrated easily. Further advantages of this quality keypad include the connection possibility using a terminal block or header (no capillary effect from membrane cables) and the possibility of surface lighting. Short stroke keypads are frequently combined with interfacing modules ( fieldbus, PC interfaces).

    Profiline Keypads
The patented Profiline methods permit the production of touch sensitive keypads, the tactile behaviour of which is almost equivalent to that short stroke keypads. A spacer inserted between the clip-on pane and the front membrane creates on excellent feedback via the switching process, so that the Profiline technology can be used even under the most demanding environment conditions.
